This October, I'm taking on a 100km walk to support the Royal Flying Doctor Service as part of the Oceans to Outback challenge
Australia is a huge place, and for those living in the outback or rural spots, quick access to medical care can be a real struggle. In some areas, the nearest hospital is a staggering eight-hour drive away! This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help ensure more people can get the medical attention they need. By pushing myself, I hope to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). Each year, the RFDS delivers 24/7 emergency retrieval and primary healthcare to over 330,000 Australians. That’s one person every two minutes! Let’s join forces to keep the Flying Doctor flying and support their vital work.
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
34
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
21
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
20
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.
