I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
Living in the Aussie outback? Good luck getting to a hospital quickly.
Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.
I'm running 81km this October to help the Flying Doctors reach those who need it most. Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Aussies with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services.
An organisation that is close to my heart, the RFDS are not-for-profit, and although they receive government support, they rely on donations to bridge the gap in funding.
Since they rely on donations, I'm calling on you to chuck in some cash – every bit counts, and it's tax deductible too!
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
7
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
4
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
4
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.
