Let’s chip in a few dollars to keep Australia’s most important service in the air
I’ve lived most my life in regional South Aus. It’s a beautiful yet empty country. For many including those close to me, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For us, a suitable hospital was possibly a solid seven hour drive.
From the time I broke my arm when I was two, to the multiple times my father has been flown out, the Royal Flying Doctor Service has always been there. Fast forward to today, I have pursued a career in aviation, achieving my RPL of recent. I aim to one day fly in rural Australia and perhaps bring communities together alike the RFDS.
This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. I’ll be running 100km in a month, which sounds more difficult the more I think about it.
By combing my love for aviation, loathing of physical fitness and admiration of the RFDS, I am hoping to spread awareness and raise funds for a great cause.
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
1
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
0
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
0
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.
