Running for a Cause: Join Me in Supporting the Royal Flying Doctor Service!

Hey everyone!

Living in Longreach for the last 9 months, I’ve seen firsthand how vast and challenging the Australian outback can be. For many people in remote and rural areas, accessing immediate healthcare is a serious concern. Can you imagine needing medical help and the closest hospital is multiple hours of mixed surface travel away? It’s a reality for too many communities out here.

This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help change that. I’ll be running to raise funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), an amazing organization that ensures people in remote areas can access the care they need. Every year, the RFDS reaches over 330,000 Australians, providing 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services—one person every two minutes!

With each step I take, I’m not just pushing my limits; I’m also hoping to raise awareness and funds so the Flying Doctor can keep flying and saving lives.

I’d love your support on this journey! Every donation, big or small, makes a difference and helps ensure that vital care is available for those who need it most.

Let’s keep the Flying Doctor flying together! Please consider donating to my challenge today!

Thanks a ton for your support! 💙🚁

My Updates

Hey Everyone!

Monday 30th Sep
In less than 24 hours, the Oceans to Outback challenge is taking off, and I can’t wait to soar into action! Australia is a massive place, with a dispersed population of 25 million people, countless folks rely on the Royal Flying Doctor Service to keep them grounded in emergencies.
With the RFDS on standby, remote, rural, and regional communities know they have someone to call when things get turbulent. It’s comforting to know we can be there to save lives when it counts.

A huge shoutout to everyone who has donated so far—thanks to you, I’m cruising towards my $550 goal! The altimeter is currently reading $523, which means we can provide 13 laryngoscopes, 8 medical chests, or 7 defibrillator pads. Talk about lifting spirits!

The Longreach Outback Run Club is really taking off, too! We’re currently making waves within the group with 50% of the team donations and holding the title for the largest contributions, both collectively and individually. We’re leaving the competition at the gate! Massive props to Mum, Dad, and my brother for the highest-standing donation!

But we’re not done yet; in fact, we haven’t even taken off! 😄 The donation page will stay open until the start of November, and I’ll be circling back to personally duplicate the last donation as of Halloween.

I’m pumped to rack up the kilometres in support across QLD over the next 31 days. Let’s make this flight a memorable one! ✈️
