Help people like my dad - support our fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
Hi everyone,
We wanted to share something deeply personal with you. Recently, our family faced a crisis when our dad, Alex Sleeman, needed urgent medical attention and was flown by the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) from our home to Perth. The care and support we received were nothing short of miraculous and it made us realise just how crucial their services are—not just for those in remote areas, but for anyone traveling or with loved ones in regional WA.
The RFDS is there for us all, whether we live in a bustling city or a quiet town. For many in rural areas, the nearest hospital could be an eight-hour drive away. The RFDS bridges this gap, providing emergency care and medical support when it's needed most.
To honour the incredible work they do and to ensure they can continue to help families like ours, we are taking part in the Oceans to Outback Fitness Challenge this October. Our goal is to raise $2,000 of much needed funds and awareness for the RFDS, and every bit of support can make a huge difference.
The RFDS helps over 330,000 Australians every year, offering 24/7 emergency care and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes! By contributing to this cause, you’re helping to keep their life-saving flights in the air and ensuring that urgent medical care is always within reach.
