I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service

Australia is a big country, and for those living in remote, rural and regional areas, access to immediate care isn’t a guarantee. For some communities, the nearest hospital is eight hours drive away.

This October, I’m taking on a month-long fitness challenge to help more people access the care they need. By going further, I hope to raise as much as possible for the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).

Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!

Together, we can keep the Flying Doctor flying and continue their life-saving work. Please donate to my challenge today!

So far this year

Why i entered

Wednesday 25th Sep
I've been asked why I entered Oceans to Outback Walk. The answer is simple, but the back story is a bit long winded.. The answer is the RFDS do such amazing work and I travel a lot for work so someday I may need their services. The complete backstory is earlier this year I had the opportunity to volunteer with the RFDS at the Mundi Mundi Bash courtesy of my awesome sister in law Annette who is the Community Liaison Officer with the RFDS in Broken Hill. There were three things that struck me as I sold raffle tickets, Mundi Undi Run tickets and Nutbush World Record attempt tickets.Firstly is people's generosity to the RFDS. Its amazing.Secondly their staff are amazing, truly amazing, passionate and highly skilled.Thirdly and most important was hearing so many stories of how the RFDS had saved the life of the person across the table from me or one of their loved ones. With all this background I just had to get involved. So please dig deep and support this wonderful cause because you never know when you might require their services.
