I'm fundraising for the Royal Flying Doctor Service
I am running for the Royal Flying Doctors Service (RFDS) in October.
Working in the Pilbara has really highlighted to me how big Australia is and how much harder it is to access healthcare regionally. In Karratha we are over 1500km away from a capital city! Which makes services like the RFDS really important.
Every year, the RFDS reach more than 330,000 Australians with 24-hour emergency retrieval and primary healthcare services. That’s one person every two minutes!
My goal is to run 98km in October, as I train for a half marathon in Jurien Bay.
All donations are greatly appreciated.
So far this year
I’ve helped provide...
1
Laryngoscopes – used to assist in intubating and ventilating a patient.
1
Life-saving medical chests for a remote, rural or regional community.
1
Defibrillator Pads – used with a machine to monitor a patient’s cardiac health.
